Join Nihongo no Niwa Japanese Language School as we celebrate the launch of the South African Shōgi Kai with a Beginner’s Shōgi Workshop. Whether you’re new to Shōgi or looking to refine your skills, this event is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of this historic game in a welcoming and interactive environment.
This hands-on workshop will guide you through the basics of Shōgi’s unique mechanics, including piece movement, promotion, and strategic game-play. With keen instruction, guided practice games, and a chance to participate in a mini-tournament, you’ll not only learn the game but also experience the depth and excitement that has captivated players for generations.
